New Delhi, Kufri and Manali Tour Overview

Himachal Pradesh is a northern Indian state in the Himalayas. It's home to scenic mountain towns and resorts such as Dalhousie. Host to the Dalai Lama, Himachal Pradesh has a strong Tibetan presence. New Delhi, Kufri and Manali Tour Itinerary

Day 1
Meeting and greeting at the airport and transfer to the hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 2
After a palatable breakfast, transfer to New Delhi Railway Station for boarding the train to Kalka. Day 3
After a healthy breakfast, visit Kufri (A picturesque hill station, situated near the Himalayan range, founded in 1819 by the British, at the height of 2,633 mts, famous for its trekking and hiking trails. It is also considered as a hotspot for adventure sports during the winter months, with skiing being one amongst the most preferred ones). Later visit Famous Jakhoo Temple (an ancient temple in Shimla, dedicated to the Hindu deity Hanuman. It is situated on Jakhoo Hill, Shimla's highest peak, 2.5 km east of the Ridge at a height of 2,455 m above sea level. ) Later visit Viceregal Lodge & Botanical Garden (The Rashtrapati Niwas, formerly known as Viceregal Lodge, is located on the Observatory Hills of Shimla, Himachal Pradesh, India. It was formerly the residence of the British Viceroy of India. It houses some of the most ancient articles and photographs going back to the times of the British rule in India.) Day 4

Day 5
After a mouth-watering breakfast, visit Solang Valley (Located at a distance of 13 kms from Manali, Solang Valley lies between Solang village and Beas Kund. Day 6
After a tempting breakfast, drive to Jispa (a village in Lahaul, along the Manali-Leh Highway and the Bhaga river.) En roue visit Rohtang Pass (It is a high mountain pass on the eastern Pir Panjal Range of the Himalayas around 51 km from Manali. It connects the Kullu Valley with the Lahaul and Spiti Valleys of Himachal Pradesh, India. ) Also visit Keyong (the administrative centre of the Lahaul and Spiti district in the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. It faces the famous Kardang Monastery, the largest and most important monastery in Lahaul, of the Drukpa sect of Tibetan Buddhism, which is on a slope across the river from Keylong.) Day 7
After a luscious breakfast, drive to Sarchu (a major halt point with tented accommodation in the Himalayas on the Leh-Manali Highway, on the boundary between Himachal Pradesh and Ladakh in India. It is situated between Baralacha La to the south and Lachulung La to the north, at an altitude of 4,290 m) En route visit Puga (Sulphur Mine), Tsokar Lake, Skyang chu Thang, Pang, Nakeela and Lchung La. Overnight stay at the camp.
Day 8
After a succulent breakfast, drive to Tsomoriri Lake (Passing through the Chumathang (Hot Spring) along the Indus river, it is located about 240 KMs from Leh town of Ladakh district in Jammu & Kashmir. Tso Moriri or Lake Moriri or "Mountain Lake", is a lake in the Changthang Plateau in Ladakh in Northern India. The lake and surrounding area are protected as the Tso Moriri Wetland Conservation Reserve. The lake is at an altitude of 4,522 m.This Lake is approximately 29 kilometers long and up to 8 kilometers wide. It attracts a range of wildlife, including migratory birds, marmots and rarely the Tibetan wolves.) In the afternoon, take a walk around the lake to enjoy the scenic beauty. Overnight stay at the camp.
Day 9
After a delectable breakfast, visit Korzok Monastry (a Tibetan Buddhist monastery belonging to the Drukpa Lineage. It is located in the Korzok village, on the northwestern bank of Tso Moriri in Leh District, Ladakh, India.) Later, drive to Leh. (It is bordered by China (Tibet) to the east, the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh to the south, Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan to the west, and the southwest corner of Xinjiang across the Karakoram Pass in the far north.) En route visit the Little Hamlet of Chumathang (famous for its hot sulphur springs that bubble from the ground near the banks of the ice-cold Indus River. Day 10
After a heartening breakfast, drive to Nubra Valley (a subdivision and a tehsil in the Indian union territory of Ladakh. Its inhabited areas form a tri-armed valley cut by the Nubra and Shyok rivers. Its Tibetan name Ldumra means "the valley of flowers".) En route visit the Khardungla Pass (Highest Motorable road in the World, 18,380 ft). Also visit Deskit Monastry (also known as Deskit Gompa or Diskit Gompa is the oldest and largest Buddhist monastery in the Nubra Valley of Ladakh, northern India. It belongs to the Gelugpa sect of Tibetan Buddhism. It was founded by Changzem Tserab Zangpo, a disciple of Tsong Khapa, founder of Gelugpa, in the 14th century). Upon arrival, check-in at the hotel. Day 11
After a peppy breakfast, visit Pangong Lake (an endorheic lake in the Himalayas situated at a height of about 4,350 m. It is 134 km long and extends from India to the Tibetan Autonomous Region, China. Approximately 60% of the length of the lake lies within the Tibetan Autonomous Region. Day 12
After a zesty breakfast, drive to Leh. En route visit Changla Pass (third Highest Motorable road in the world at 17,350 ft.) Upon arrival at Leh, visit Leh Market, Leh Palace, Hall of Fame and Shanti Stupa. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 13
After a scrummy breakfast, visit Hemis (a Himalayan Buddhist monastery of the Drukpa Lineage, in Hemis, Ladakh, India. Situated 45 km from Leh, the monastery was re-established in 1672 by the Ladakhi king Sengge Namgyal. The annual Hemis festival honouring Padmasambhava is held in early June) Proceed to visit the Thikse Monastery (a gompa affiliated with the Gelug sect of Tibetan Buddhism. It is located on top of a hill in Thiksey approximately 19 kilometres east of Leh in Ladakh, India.) Later visit Shey Palace (structures located on a hillock in Shey, It was the summer capital of Ladakh in the past.) Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 14
After an unhurried breakfast, transfer to the Leh airport to connect flight to Delhi. Upon arrival at Delhi, visit Raj Ghat (Cremation site of Mahatma Gandhi) & Red Fort (The Red Fort is a historic fort in the city of Delhi in India, which served as the main residence of the Mughal Emperors.) Also visit the Qutub Minar (Qutab Minar, is a minaret and "victory tower"). Later drive pass India Gate (War Memorial) & President House. Transfer to airport to connect flight for onward destination.
